What a full roof system means
A roof is not just shingles. Deck, ice barrier, underlayment, starter course, field shingles, hip and ridge, and balanced intake and exhaust ventilation all have to work together. GAF will only issue its strongest warranties when the qualifying components come from the same system, which is why we do not mix and match to shave a few dollars off a bid.
Ice barrier is not optional in Ohio
Ice barrier membrane is required by the Residential Code of Ohio at eaves and valleys, driven by the design temperature in Table R301.2 and the coverage rules in Section R905. No Ohio municipality opts out of it. If a bid you are comparing does not line-item ice barrier, that is the first question to ask.

Roofing questions
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential replacements are a single day on the roof. Larger or steeper homes, and homes with multiple roof planes or slate and tile work, can run two to three days. We confirm the schedule before material drop.
What warranty comes with the roof?
Every installation carries our 5-year workmanship warranty. As a GAF Master Elite contractor we can also offer GAF System Plus and the Golden Pledge Limited Warranty on qualifying systems, which extends coverage well beyond what a non-certified contractor can write.
Do you handle the permit?
Yes. We pull the permit under our license and coordinate inspection with the authority having jurisdiction for your address.
What happens if it rains mid-job?
We do not tear off more than we can dry in. Open deck gets covered and secured before crews leave the property, every day.
